Southwold sits on the Suffolk coast, tucked between the River Blyth and the North Sea. It's a little off the beaten track, which is a big part of its charm, but it's still easy to reach.
Southwold is around 115 miles from London, and the journey usually takes about three hours. From the south, take the A12 and turn off at Blythburgh onto the A1095, which brings you straight into town. From Norwich (about 35 miles) or Ipswich (about 40 miles), allow roughly an hour.
